ABOUT

ZMAGRYA is an event and media production service. Known for our versatile Maghreb-centric events,

ZMAGRYA is a movement and service designed to center and support the musical and cultural

innovations from the Maghrebi, Amazigh, African and Arab diasporic communities in the local and global

underground scene. We aim to achieve this through live music events, radio tributes and media production.

Community is the backbone of our space. At a time when nightlife and third spaces are

being challenged and redefined, we've taken it upon ourselves to produce a space that

speaks to the growing culture of the queer, femme and trans diasporic Maghrebi, African

and Arab community. Throughout history, the pioneers of Maghrebi sonic innovation have

been women and queer/trans people. We honor this by creating an inclusive space that

celebrates diversity within and beyond our communities.

In all our work, our aim is to support and foster the innovations of Maghrebi, African and

Arab artists, in tune with the culture and communities involved. Through the creation

of accessible spaces or the development of a network, ZMAGRYA aims to push back the limits of

our communities' sonic potential. We believe in the need to contribute to Maghrebi and

African sound futurism, both online and in person.
